About The Position
Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. seeks a Full-Time PDI Service Technician for our Marshall, Michigan location. We maintain thousands of vehicles at eight locations in five states and over 300 employees committed to providing safe, comfortable and reliable transportation for our customers around the world. We are looking for a PDI Service Tech to assist with Installation of after market components, PDI new buses, and entry level service tech tasks.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work efficiently and neatly
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have own hand tools and toolbox (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutter, etc.)
- Required to frequently lift/carry 50lbs
Nice To Haves
- CDL with air brake endorsement preferred
Responsibilities
- Bus Detail
- Lot Work
- Bus Inspections
- Install components on buses and perform general maintenance on vehicles
- Oil changes
- Off Lease Sales Repairs
- Lower Level Technician work – Part replacement, stop arms, brakes, shocks
- Assist in daily responsibilities of the department
