PD Program Manager - NMPH - Rice Creek/Fridley, MN (Onsite)

Our Neuromodulation team delivers advanced solutions for chronic pain and movement disorders through spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and targeted drug delivery systems. Our Pelvic Health team advances minimally invasive neuromodulation therapies for bladder and bowel control conditions, helping patients regain function and improve quality of life. Located at Medtronic's location in Rice Creek/Fridley, MN, this role is onsite four days per week and requires <10% travel. As a PD Program Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs within the Neuromodulation (NM) and Pelvic Health (PH) Product Lifecycle Management organization. In this role, you will drive strategic initiatives across the released product portfolio, including regulatory compliance remediation (such as MDR), manufacturing capacity expansion, product design enhancements, supply continuity efforts, and other business-critical programs that support patients and healthcare providers worldwide. You will work with a diverse portfolio of technologies, including implantable and external neurostimulators, implantable infusion pumps, leads, catheters, software programming applications, and device recharge and programming systems. Success in this role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and execution skills. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Biocompatibility, Sterilization, and other functions to align priorities, manage risks, and deliver program objectives. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading complex, multi-site programs in a highly matrixed environment and combines technical expertise, business acumen, and program management excellence with a strong understanding of medical device development and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR, Advance degree in Business, Engineering or Technical field with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Nice To Haves
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience leading projects, programs, and/or people in a cross-functional environment.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or other project management certifications preferred.
- Experience leading complex regulatory compliance initiatives, including MDR remediation programs.
- Demonstrated experience in the design, development, and/or manufacturing of medical devices.
- Working knowledge of regulatory submissions and global regulatory requirements, including FDA 510(k) and PMA processes.
- Experience operating within Quality Management Systems (QMS), with a strong understanding of Design History Files (DHF), Device Master Records (DMR), and design control requirements.
- Knowledge of applicable medical device standards and regulations, including IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and ISO 13485.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
- Ability to interpret technical data, engineering reports, and statistical analyses to support informed decision-making.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across a highly matrixed organization and drive results through cross-functional teams.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocation for assigned programs, ensuring alignment with business strategies and applicable medical device regulations.
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and strategic impact
- Manage technical risks and issues by working with the technical team to develop and maintain risk burndown plans
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving.
- Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.
- Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
