About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown setting. The role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including surgical, medical, and occasional neurological cases. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience managing complex patient conditions, including titration of vasoactive drips. Unit Details: Patient Types: Surgical (all types) Medical (all types) Neurological (as needed) Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3 (not guaranteed) Floating: Required Common Equipment Used: Bladder scanners IV pumps PCA pumps Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs) BiPAP / CPAP Optiflow / Vapotherm / Airvo
Requirements
- Vasoactive Drips (Required): Neosynephrine Amiodarone Cardizem Other titratable drips
- Line Management: IV insertion PICC / Central line management Vascular device care Dialysis fistula care Arterial line (A-line) management
- Airway Management (Required): CPAP / BiPAP Tracheostomy care
- Ortho / MS / Oncology (Required): Epidural and PCA pump management Feeding tubes Wound VAC
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Active State Nursing License
- Required Certifications: ACLS BLS / BCLS NIHSS

- Central Venous Pressure (CVP) monitoring
- Cardiac Skills (Preferred): 12-lead EKG interpretation Sheath removal Cardioversion / Defibrillation
