About The Position

Wellington Regional Medical Center is hiring a certified Patient Care Technician for its stepdown unit. This full-time position is scheduled for 36 hours per week on the night shift, with opportunities to work overtime and cover other shifts if interested. The technician performs customer care activities and related services in the patient care area, including monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry rhythm strips, receptionist and secretarial duties, and patient care tasks. The role requires willingness to cross-train and float to meet facility needs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write, with working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Completion of a formal Certified Nursing Assistant training program and current state CNA certification; the posting specifies a Florida CNA license requirement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Good communication skills to relate to customers.
• Ability to perform EKGs.
• Computer skills, including order entry and ADT functions.
