About The Position

The PCB Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electronic products to the component level, with emphasis on PCB microprocessor boards. The role includes diagnosing board and system issues, performing precise repairs, validating product performance, and maintaining accurate repair records. The technician must adapt to various board designs while ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Education in electrical and electronic principles with two year degree minimum or equivalent experience and knowledge.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PCB repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret electromechanical system documentation including schematics and diagrams.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely and properly select and use appropriate test equipment and tools to effectively troubleshoot and repair PCB boards. (multi-meters, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, logic probes and other test equipment)
  • Must have great attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot circuit boards to the component level.
  • Self-directed with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to meet physical job demand and work safely at all times
  • Candidates must have experience repairing PCB micro processing boards to component level.

Responsibilities

  • Build, data collection, troubleshooting and repair to the component level.
  • Perform tests to ensure the proper operation of new and existing products.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis to the system and perform repairs as required to bring products to full operational capability.
  • Learn all board designs and perform tests and repairs on each.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
