About The Position
Personal Care Assistants are key members of the direct-care team, providing one-on-one support to residents with their daily routines, socialization, and overall well-being. The role involves helping residents organize their days and activities, building companionship, and supporting them with patience, compassion, and empathy. Current opportunities include a full-time evening shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. (75 hours biweekly) and a part-time evening shift from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. (15 hours biweekly, every other weekend). Pay is $16.75–$18.25 per hour based on shift preference, with the opportunity to earn more based on experience. Country Meadows is a family-owned private company based in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It has more than 2,500 co-workers and has served seniors for over 30 years.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or active CNA license.
- Be at least 18 years old, except as permitted under 2800.54(d).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication skills, including careful listening, sensitivity to others’ thoughts and feelings, and timely, accurate reporting of changes.
- Compassion and patience in personal interactions.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks required for the role.
- Ability to understand and speak English at a level that allows safe, efficient job performance.
