PCA Needed in Torrington
About The Position
We are looking for caregivers to work Monday-Friday 1pm-5pm for a woman with ALS. She needs help with multiplate transfers and has a sera life in the home. Pay $18-$23/hour We are seeking experienced caregivers (PCA, HHA, CNA) who are reliable, have a heart for service, and a passion to care for the older adults to join our team. If you are looking for an opportunity to design a flexible schedule, we have several current openings with clients. The hours vary from 4-12 hour shifts on all days of the week and our caregivers can design either a part time or full time schedule.
Requirements
- Compassion and empathy is a must
- Ability to use good judgement and remain calm
- Reliable and on time
- Proof of eligibility to work in U.S.
- Can pass a background check and provide references
Nice To Haves
- Alzheimer's or Dementia experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to dedicated client in their home
- Help execute comprehensive personalized weekly schedules and care plans
- Supply personal companionship, remain actively engaged with each client by providing ongoing social & emotional support
- Assist with personal care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation
- Keep order, safety and client enjoyment top of mind
- Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed
- Administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks and report changes in the client’s condition
