About The Position
Discovery Therapy, a company that truly cares for its family of therapists, is seeking Personal Care Assistants to join its Early Intervention team. This role involves providing one-on-one support to children with developmental and/or learning disabilities in Philadelphia County. Services are for children in preschools, daycares, or home environments, typically for 4-7 hours per day. The goal is to ensure the child's success in their educational or home setting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma REQUIRED
- CPR and First Aid certifications REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and self care needs in the 3-5 age group
Responsibilities
- One-on-One (1:1) support for children
- Providing assistance to children who could have behavioral challenges, medical/physical limitations, or a neurological diagnosis
- Implementing instructional strategies
