About The Position

Join the Scripps Health team as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) on the Medical/Oncology unit at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. This full-time position involves 12-hour night shifts, working variable days including holidays and weekends. You will work alongside passionate caregivers, providing patient-centered healthcare and contributing to a safe, organized environment. The PCA assists patients with personal needs and daily living activities, collects data, and supports the unit with various logistic, clerical, and equipment/supply duties under the direction of a clinician.

Requirements

One year of recent experience working under the license of a licensed healthcare provider OR Current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school OR Current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals.
Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider.
