About The Position

Homestead Village is seeking highly caring, enthusiastic, & passionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who enjoy Life Enrichment Activities to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our residents! This role is located at Westvue - Personal Care Memory Support, which has 2 floors and 13 residents on each floor. The base pay is determined by years of experience, with a starting rate of $15.75 for those with no experience or med tech certification, plus applicable shift and weekend differentials.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Experience with Life Enrichment
CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or ability to become certified.
Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.
Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description.
Demonstrate flexibility.
Satisfactory completion of the Personal Care Home Direct Care Staff Person Training Program

Responsibilities

Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents.
Assist resident with all activities of daily living as needed.
Participate in development of residents' Support Plan.
Facilitate recreational/life enhancement activities.
Facilitate dining/light meal preparations.
Collect data such as vital signs, as indicated.
Housekeeping and laundry, as needed and assigned.
Observe client and immediately report changes in condition to Supervisor.
Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due.
Adhere to all PCH policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
Document interventions, activities, observations, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
