As a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) Float Pool, you will serve as a vital member of our clinical team, providing essential bedside care and support services across our Texas market. Operating under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will ensure a safe, comfortable, and sanitary environment for our patients. This role is perfect for a flexible healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient support across multiple departments and facility locations. Every day you will leverage your clinical skills to assist patients with their daily living needs while contributing to the overall efficiency of the nursing unit. You will be responsible for floating to various departments and sites based on immediate staffing requirements, which may include managing same-day assignments, multi-location shifts, or seasonal staffing surges. By collaborating closely with Clinical Leaders and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will act as a versatile resource, ensuring seamless continuity of care regardless of the specific hospital unit or location. To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundational knowledge of patient care practices and a high degree of professional adaptability. We are looking for a reliable PCA who can maintain clinical excellence while navigating shifting priorities and varying patient needs across different facilities. Float Pool PCAs are hired with the understanding they must float based on the details below, the schedule is based on the needs of the organization: Float Patient Care Assistant III B: Employees (with a minimum of a 2 hour notice) will agree to float to any facility within the Texas division. Must be available to be scheduled for a minimum of 3 shifts every week and available to be scheduled a Saturday and Sunday shift every other weekend. Must be available to be scheduled for two major holidays per policy. The rate of pay for this level of commitment is $34.00. Mileage reimbursement and applicable differentials will apply if eligible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, from an accredited School
  • One (1) year of direct patient care experience
  • Basic Life Support, BLS
  • Good written/oral communication skills
  • Basic Computer skills
