About The Position

In the Medical Surgical/Ortho-Neuro unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital, the PCA serves as a Nursing Assistant on the unit. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, on the Night Shift. Positions are 12-hour shifts, 7 p to 7:30 a. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Requirements

• High School or equivalency certificate is required.
• Current BLS or CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 1 year of Nursing Assistant experience in an Acute In-Patient setting is preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant: Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assist with patient care, including vital sign monitoring and recording measurements in patients’ charts
• Provide Ambulatory Support to patients, assisting with walking, showers, and other prescribed therapies.
