About The Position

McCormick Assisted Living is seeking compassionate and dependable PCA Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will build meaningful relationships with residents and their families while providing personalized assistance with activities of daily living, individual care needs, and life-enriching activities. Our PCAs get to know each resident's unique preferences, personality, and needs while helping create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Previous caregiving, healthcare, assisted living, or senior care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living and individual care needs.
  • Learn and respect each resident's unique preferences, routines, and personality.
  • Monitor residents and notify management of changes in condition or care needs.
  • Participate in the development and monthly updates of individualized care plans.
  • Assist residents with life skills and other life-enriching activities identified in their individual service plans.
  • Use a variety of multi-sensory experiences to enhance residents' daily lives.
  • Remain responsible for an assigned group of residents throughout the shift.
  • Know the location and needs of assigned residents and conduct regular physical checks throughout the shift.
  • Respond to residents' dining needs while maintaining hospitality and service standards.
  • Practice Invite, Encourage, Assist (IEA) when supporting residents with life skills and meaningful activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the community team to promote resident safety and quality of care.
  • Follow OSHA requirements, safety rules, risk management programs, and organizational policies.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
