This is a full-time position with a weekly hour commitment of 40 hours, operating on a day shift. The role involves providing approved care to assigned patients, assisting in the implementation of interventions under the supervision of an RN, and supporting patients with daily living activities. The position also requires supervising developmentally appropriate activities, offering assistance to co-workers, utilizing crisis control techniques, and assisting with patient transport and 1 on 1 observation as needed. Strong communication skills are essential, including demonstrating Cincinnati Children's CARES behaviors, reporting patient status changes, completing timely documentation, seeking guidance when needed, and discussing work concerns with the Director or designee. The role also focuses on maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient environment, complying with infection control and safety procedures, and responding to communication systems and patient alarms with urgency. Administrative support includes answering telephones, assembling charts, ordering supplies, and potentially assisting with new employee orientation and training.
