About The Position

Attentive Care is a licensed home health care agency providing compassionate in-home nursing, personal care, companion care, and related support services. Our work is centered on helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes through dependable, person-centered care. As a PCA or HHA with Attentive Care, you will play an important role in supporting clients and families through consistent, one-on-one care. This role is ideal for caregivers who bring empathy, reliability, and a commitment to preserving each client's dignity while supporting their daily routine and overall well-being.

Requirements

• Hold a New York State PCA or HHA certification.
• Recent experience working under a New York State PCA or HHA certification through a licensed agency within the past 2 years.
• Residence within 25 miles of the job location
• Ability to lift and transfer clients averaging 150 lbs, with or without assistance, on a frequent basis
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• Experience assisting clients with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Background in senior care, including memory care or dementia care.
• Reliable transportation for travel to client homes across the Capital District, including Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Albany, Troy, Schenectady, East Greenbush, Valatie, and Guilderland.
• Availability for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance with daily living activities and hygiene needs.
• Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and household tasks.
• Offer companionship and emotional support during in-home care visits.
• Assist with errands and transportation-related tasks when needed.
• Maintain reliable, compassionate one-on-one care in clients' homes.
