About The Position

Work with varied technology: Install, configure, maintain, inventory, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, software, networks, and infrastructure devices. Be part of a service-minded team: Collaborate with library staff, patrons, vendors, and consultants to resolve issues and improve operations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or 3 years of relevant experience; and Certification in one or more of the following: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification.
  • Must have a current driver’s license valid in the State of Wyoming or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Proficiency with a variety of hardware, both old and new, and software programs including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, scheduling and calendaring, communications, internet, etc.
  • Above-average troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure devices.
  • Ability to work quickly under limited supervision, with an aptitude for detailed work and proficiency in prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to train all levels of users.

Nice To Haves

  • Course work or preparation for professional IT certification.
  • Relevant associate-level IT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff and patrons with technology-related questions, troubleshooting, and access to library systems and equipment.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and inventory technology equipment, including workstations, laptops, peripherals, and related software.
  • Support network, internet, and system connectivity needs by monitoring performance, coordinating service requests, and assisting with issue resolution.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions that address operational needs, improve service delivery, and support long-term planning.
  • Develop and provide technology training, guidance, and support materials to help staff and patrons use digital tools effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and compliance when handling technology systems, user information, and organizational data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
