About The Position

Precision Resources, a division of The Trimarc Group Inc., is currently searching for an experienced PC/Network Support Analyst to join a client based in Birmingham, Alabama for a permanent position with excellent benefits. This position requires working onsite at the client location in Birmingham, AL. Salary ranges from $50K to $60K with a full suite of benefits Position Summary: The qualified individual will be providing technical support and maintaining computer systems in a manufacturing environment. This candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving computer-related issues, ensuring smooth operations, and optimizing productivity across our manufacturing processes. This role requires excellent technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing technical support and maintaining computer systems in a support role.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software applications and processes is preferred.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, and computer peripherals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with manufacturing-specific software and hardware, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for all computer-related issues within the manufacturing environment. Respond promptly to user inquiries, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Computer System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, system patches, and security configurations. Ensure all computer systems, servers, and peripherals are functioning optimally to support manufacturing operations.
  • Hardware and Software Installation: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including workstations, printers, scanners, and other manufacturing-related equipment. Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications required for manufacturing processes.
  • Network Support: Collaborate with the IT team to ensure reliable network connectivity within the manufacturing environment. Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices, such as switches, routers, and firewalls. Troubleshoot network issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate IT personnel.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation for computer systems, hardware configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Train personnel on basic computer usage, software applications, and best practices for data security.
  • Equipment Inventory Management: Keep track of computer hardware and software inventory within the manufacturing environment. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required equipment and software licenses.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the manufacturing environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements that streamline operations and increase productivity.
