This role involves providing support for installation, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of various control and automation projects. The engineer will be responsible for designing Control System Architecture (CSA), electrical and control panel layouts, control schematic drawings, and Bills of Material (BOM). Key duties include designing, reviewing, and performing safety validation, safety maps, IQ/OQ, and documents for new equipment installations. The position requires reviewing vendor and engineering documents, providing support for PLC and HMI programming, and developing/modifying PLC programs and SCADA projects. The engineer will also integrate equipment systems into the plant, support the operation team for existing systems, and collaborate with the Project/Engineering team for new systems. This includes conducting feasibility studies, creating design basis documents, and detailed engineering technical documents like cable schedules and device lists. Understanding electrical drawings and P&IDs is essential, as is performing yellow lining, IQOQ, and troubleshooting electrical circuits. The role also involves understanding existing control systems to provide support for reducing current losses, designing control studies/URDs for PLC & HMI programming, and integrating different systems within the plant. The engineer will assist the team in understanding the cause of losses based on historical data and design/review technical documents for fabricator/contractor activities. The role requires delivering complex, large-scale projects on time and within budget, adhering to NEC, NFPA79, OSHA, S88, and PackML Standards, and performing multi-discipline and vendor coordination for new equipment installations.
