Under general supervision of the Director, the Communications Operator controls the telephone communications console, answers and routes calls to the appropriate personnel. This role involves managing telephone communications, connecting callers, paging individuals, implementing emergency procedures, maintaining patient information, assisting visitors, handling payments, providing after-hours services for the Rural Health Clinic, performing clerical tasks, and adhering to legal compliance and safety standards. The operator must maintain patient confidentiality and handle Protected Health Information (PHI) appropriately.
