About The Position

Answers inquiries and obtains information for the general public, guests, employees, and other interested parties. Provides information regarding activities conducted at the Casino/Hotel. Makes, confirms, and cancels reservations for guests in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner to increase hotel occupancy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year office or related experience.
  • Knowledge of office machines.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.
  • Must be able to work directly with the general public.
  • Must be able to change easily and frequently from one activity to another such as from typing, to searching in a directory, to using a telephone.
  • Requires good organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Uses personal judgment and specialized knowledge to give information to people.
  • Must be flexible with shift and days off.
  • Must be able to meet all internal non-supervisory, training and education requirements.
  • Must have a pleasant voice and be able to display tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess good computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior PBX/Hotel reservations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains records of incoming calls, noting time of calls.
  • Completes employee call-in form and forwards it to the Hotel Administrative Assistant if the employee is not in the Hotel, Spa, or Transportation departments.
  • Keeps records of employee’s personal calls and forwards call to the Supervisor of that Department.
  • Receives calls, determines nature of business and directs callers to destination.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel information and casino activities.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and other departments in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
  • Uses two-way radio system to communicate with Casino, Hotel, and Transportation departments.
  • Uses pager system for guest pages throughout the casino.
  • Makes, confirms, and cancels reservations usually over the telephone, fax, or other reservation system.
  • Safeguards and accounts for the assets of the owners.
  • Complies with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  • Monitors the casino environment and will follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
  • Works respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
  • Reports to work on time and as required in uniform, displays a high level of personal cleanliness and follows personal appearance guidelines.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Operates PBX console and company reservation system.
  • Attends all required meetings and training sessions as required.
  • May fill in at the front desk.
