About The Position

Strada is hiring multiple positions across its Payroll Tax Filing team at the Analyst, Senior Analyst, and Manager levels. They are looking for individuals with end-to-end tax filing experience, including preparation, review, filing, payment, issue resolution, and compliance support. While payroll tax experience is preferred, candidates from public accounting and other tax environments with broad, hands-on filing knowledge are also welcome. The responsibilities will vary by level, potentially including direct filing, serving as a subject matter expert, supporting client delivery, process improvement, or team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with end-to-end tax filing, including preparation or review, submission, and follow-through on filing issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and clear communication.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with tax or financial systems.
  • End-to-end understanding of tax filing and a commitment to accurate, compliant work.
  • Client-focused service and sound judgment when resolving issues.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Collaborative communication with clients and cross-functional partners.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to adapt as processes and systems change.

  • Must have current and future work authorization in the country where applying, without the need for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • U.S. payroll tax filing experience across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
  • Experience in public accounting or another tax environment with broad filing responsibilities.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Experience with tax filing software; MasterTax and ADP SmartCompliance are preferred.
  • Experience with quarterly and year-end filing processes, reconciliations, payments, notices, or amendments.
  • Advanced degree and/or certification in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, submit, and track tax filings, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and compliant.
  • Support end-to-end filing processes, including reconciliations, payments, notices, amendments, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
  • Work across applicable federal, state, and local tax requirements.
  • Research and resolve filing discrepancies, notices, client questions, and escalations.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams, such as payroll, client service, and compliance, to resolve issues and improve delivery.
  • Use tax filing systems and reporting tools to manage work and maintain accurate records.
  • Document procedures and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Support system testing, training, and implementation for new clients, workflows, or system updates.
  • At the Senior Analyst and Manager levels, provide subject matter guidance, coordinate work, and support client meetings.
  • At the Manager level, lead team operations, coach and develop colleagues, monitor performance, and drive quality and service improvements.
