About The Position

Bitcoin Depot is seeking a highly detail-oriented Payroll & Tax Compliance Specialist to join our Atlanta-based team. This is a foundational hybrid role (2 days/week in our Sandy Springs office) designed for a professional who excels at the intersection of payroll, tax administration, and office operations. You will ensure the accurate processing of company payroll while serving as the primary point of contact for tax-related correspondence and jurisdictional compliance. Bitcoin Depot is the largest Bitcoin ATM Network in the world, offering users the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin at thousands of BTM and BDCheckout locations. We currently trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol BTM.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on experience processing full-cycle payroll for a multi-state organization.
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Required proficiency in UKG Pro (or similar enterprise HRIS) and Google Workspace.
Basic understanding of federal, state, and local payroll taxes; experience handling business tax notices (Property/Use/Sales tax) is a significant plus.
Proven ability to handle highly confidential compensation and employee information with total integrity.
A "process-first" mindset with the ability to manage high-volume mail and high-stakes deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Own the bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll process for all employees, including data entry for hours, complex deductions, and multi-state employee changes.
Utilize UKG Pro to manage employee records, time-off balances, and data integrity. Troubleshoot system issues and escalate complex technical problems to IT.
Provide administrative support for the hiring lifecycle, including system setup, paperwork coordination, and final paycheck processing.
Generate headcount, turnover, and labor cost reports from UKG for HR and Finance leadership.
Own the intake, sorting, and digital processing of all physical tax mail. Ensure all notices (State, City, Use, and Property Tax) are routed to the appropriate internal or external stakeholders.
Assist in maintaining compliance across multiple states and cities for property and use tax filings.
Monitor tax calendars to provide cash flow information to the Finance team regarding the timing of tax payments.
Help monitor and maintain office/breakroom supplies and serve as the point of contact for routine vendors (catering, janitorial, maintenance).
Manage incoming and outgoing mail with a high degree of urgency, ensuring critical tax documents are scanned and filed immediately.
Help organize in-office activities and ensure common areas are functional and welcoming.
