About The Position

Alliance HCM is seeking a full-time Payroll Tax Analyst to join their team in The Woodlands, TX. This role offers the opportunity to become a subject matter expert, make a meaningful impact for clients, and contribute to a company that values expertise, collaboration, and growth. The Payroll Tax Analyst will process payroll tax deposits and filings across multiple jurisdictions, research regulatory updates, resolve tax discrepancies, and partner with clients, agencies, and internal teams to address complex questions. Additionally, they will prepare quarterly and annual filings, monitor legislative changes that impact compliance, and help improve workflows that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of payroll tax processing and filing experience, preferably within a payroll service provider or HCM environment
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local industry laws and regulations
• Experience managing multi-client industry operations in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience working across multiple payroll or tax systems simultaneously
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience with bulk tax filing systems such as EFTPS and state e-file portals
