About The Position

As a Starbucks payroll tax analyst, you will enjoy working on a collaborative team and have a clear ability to work on process efficiencies and drive the business forward, while also completing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax tasks assigned to the tax team, including tax payment requests, tax returns, and tax reporting for over 280K+ partners in all 50 states and 11 Provinces in Canada. You will be responsible to collect data for tax authorities requested during tax controversies including inquiries, audits and appeals to assist with abatements in a timely and organized manner. You will also run and analyze system audits to ensure data integrity. You will be responsible to assist with the planning and implementation of tax planning projects, while also assisting with some system testing.

Requirements

  • Multi-state and provincial payroll tax experience, including payment, reconciling, and filing, 2 years minimum
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to convey complicated information in a logical manner
  • Experience with SAP ECP, including jurisdiction mapping, rule parameters, and validations

Responsibilities
