About The Position

Ferrovial has an exciting, entry-level payroll tax analyst position for a recent graduate or early career professional. A Payroll Tax Analyst manages payroll tax compliance, ensures accurate reporting, and provides expertise on federal, state, and local tax regulations. This is an onsite, hybrid position in the Woodlands, TX.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Taxation, Economics, or related fields
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities to calculate taxes, deductions, and benefits accurately
  • Meticulous in reviewing payroll data and ensuring compliance with tax laws
  • Ability to explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders and collaborate across departments
  • Capable of resolving discrepancies and handling audits effectively
  • MS applications, excel, word

Nice To Haves

  • AI Software tools - Microsoft Copilot preferred, not required

Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile payroll tax payments and filings, including W-2s, W-2c’s, and quarterly/annual returns.
  • Analyze payroll tax data, perform calculations, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
  • Design, document, and review payroll tax procedures to maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation.
  • Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, notices, or compliance issues for multi-state entities.
  • Work closely with payroll, HR, and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and tax reporting.
  • Assist Payroll Tax Manager with strategic initiatives, audits, and process improvements.
