About The Position

As a Payroll Specialist with Dematic, you will be supporting payroll processing for multi-state payroll functions. If you have strong communication and time management skills, advanced Excel capabilities and feel comfortable prioritizing multiple deadlines, this is the role for you! This position is hybrid; requiring three days in-office.

Requirements

Prior experience in payroll processing
Balanced and reconciled general ledger accounts
Strong communication and time management skills
Advanced Excel capabilities
Comfortable prioritizing multiple deadlines
4+ years of payroll processing, preferably multi-state payroll experience
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Previous experience using UKG Workforce Management Time and Attendance, ADP Workforce Now, Workday, or similar payroll systems
Expertise in Excel including experience with vlookup, xlookup and pivot tables
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
Proficiency in basic accounting and business software

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of US benefit plans and North American (US, Canada & Mexico) payroll processes is a plus
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

Working in collaboration with Payroll team to prepare and process multi-state payroll for U.S. hourly 1500+ employees and Canada support on 300+ employees
Verify accuracy of employee information in the payroll systems: Workday, ADP WFN Canada, and UKG Workforce Management
Participate in preparation and distribution of various reports to departments and managers
Respond to inquiries from employees and 3rd party agencies
Participate in integration of mergers and acquisitions
Participate in system implementations along with identifying, analyzing, and improving business processes within our department for optimization or standards of quality
Collaborate with human resource information system to ensure integration requirements are accurately implemented
