About The Position

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing multi-state or multi-country payrolls on a biweekly/semi-monthly schedule for 3,000 employees. This role involves maintaining and updating payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams. The specialist will also handle personnel forms, input new employee orientation hours, and may assist with translating payroll-related documents for bilingual staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least three (3) years related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledgeable with 10-key by touch.
  • Ability to read and comprehend payroll procedures and company memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions; and ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • UKG experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives personnel forms such as personal holiday, vacation leave, transfers, status changes, termination, etc.
  • Inputs number of hours of orientation for the current week of new employees into the computer for payment.
  • Accurately process multi-state or multi-country payrolls on a biweekly/semi-monthly schedule for 3,000 employees.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, employee data, and pay data information in the HRIS/payroll system.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on timekeeping, benefit deductions and audits.
  • Translate payroll related documents and assist in communication with bilingual staff as needed.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
