About The Position

Garver is seeking a professional and motivated individual to join our Finance Team in our Dallas, TX office. This position will play a key role in supporting a wide range of payroll functions in collaboration with the Corporate Payroll Manager and the broader Finance Team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Multi-State payroll processing experience
  • FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) and/or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional)
  • ADP Payroll Certification
  • Completion of HIPAA Compliance Training (provided by Garver)
  • Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Publisher
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical and calculation abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll using ADP with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Enter and reconcile payroll data in HRIS systems and spreadsheets prior to posting payroll.
  • Monitor the payroll inbox daily and respond to inquiries or payroll changes the same day, including raises and compensation adjustments, VOE’s, 401(k)/ HSA/ FSA changes, Tax Updates, W-2 questions, payroll letters and miscellaneous payroll inquiries. Ensuring timely, professional communication to support excellent employee experience.
  • Administer wage garnishments in accordance with IWOs (Income Withholding Order) and applicable laws.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records with complete documentation for each bi‑weekly payroll cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with local, city, and municipal tax filing requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll withholding limits (401(k), HSA, FSA) in alignment with IRS regulations.
  • Understand and support ACA reporting requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with state laws regarding final paychecks.
  • Process off‑cycle payrolls with quick turnaround times.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare and submit reports for the Bureau of Labor Statistics as required by state or office location.
  • Standardize and improve internal payroll procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in creating and updating payroll training guides using Microsoft Publisher.
  • Provide payroll expertise with professionalism, confidence, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Support special projects assigned by the Payroll Manager.
  • Assist with scheduled external audits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
