AllianceHCM is seeking a Payroll Manager in The Woodlands, Texas, to lead one of the fastest-growing HCM organizations in the nation. Responsibilities include collaborating with team members to solve challenges, establishing performance expectations, supporting professional growth, and ensuring payroll operations exceed expectations. The role involves overseeing compliance with federal and state payroll regulations, including FLSA, multi-state requirements, and payroll tax obligations, while continuously evaluating opportunities for automation, process enhancements, and system improvements. Additionally, the Payroll Manager will act as a senior escalation resource for complex client matters, advising organizations on payroll operations, risk management strategies, and industry best practices to ensure exceptional client experiences.

Requirements

CPP Certification
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of payroll experience
5+ years of leadership experience managing payroll or client service teams
Strong expertise in multi-state payroll, payroll taxation, and regulatory compliance
Experience in HCM, PEO, or high-growth SaaS environments is highly preferred.
A bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred.
Confident and experienced payroll leader who can mentor teams, strengthen compliance processes, build client trust, and support the continued growth of the organization.
