Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Manager strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, auditing practices, and compliance
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Payroll Department, including team leadership, accuracy, employee relations, and best practices.
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payrolls for 1,800+ employees, including direct responsibility for a portion of the payroll.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop payroll team members.
  • Serve as primary contact for payroll system implementations and enhancements.
  • Ensure accurate entry of payroll and HR changes into Paylocity, along with time and attendance adjustments.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly payroll audits to confirm accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide reporting and analysis to leadership on payroll trends and exceptions.
  • Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and internal controls.
  • Manage garnishments in compliance with state laws.
  • Collaborate with dealership leadership on pay plans, commissions, bonuses, and payroll-related matters.
  • Research and resolve payroll issues; escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and document payroll procedures.
  • Oversee payroll/timekeeping system projects and train users.
  • Stay informed on payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
