We’re looking for a dependable, detail-driven Payroll & HR Specialist to support biweekly payroll for 450+ employees and help keep key HR, benefits, reporting, and employee processes running smoothly. Requirements

  • One to two years of payroll, Human Resources, accounting, or related administrative experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Working knowledge of timekeeping, payroll deductions, and payroll taxes.
  • Strong organizational, reconciliation, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using payroll or HR systems for data entry, file uploads, testing, and record maintenance.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling salary, benefit, background, and other sensitive employee information.

Nice To Haves

  • ADP experience and payroll certification are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant payroll, HR, or accounting experience, preferred.
  • EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant's credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions.

Responsibilities

  • Support accurate, timely biweekly payroll processing for 450+ employees, including timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, incentive payments, and employee changes.
  • Prepare payroll files, reports, and supporting documentation for regular, supplemental, final, quarter-end, and year-end processing.
  • Research routine payroll discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and help ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met.
  • Reconcile payroll and benefit invoices, identify variances, obtain approvals, and submit complete payment documentation.
  • Support HR operations through recurring and ad hoc reporting (i.e. Overtime, Turnover, Accruals), record maintenance, audit documentation, employee inquiries, and departmental projects.
  • Support new-hire and separation benefit processes, including enrollments, separations, payroll deduction updates, employee communications, vendor files, and follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support for audits, ADP and other payroll and HR systems, including data entry, file uploads, testing, record maintenance, and basic user questions.
  • Protect confidential employee information and follow applicable laws, regulations, and EECU policies.
  • Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA/FACTA, and Service Members Civil Relief. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
