About The Position

The Payroll - Garnishment Specialist processes payroll and payroll adjustments, including wage garnishments and other court-ordered deductions. The position reviews payroll information for accuracy, resolves discrepancies, reconciles reports and general ledger accounts, and maintains employee payroll records. It also assists with payroll taxes, benefits deductions, year-end activities, month-end close, and additional payroll projects. This is a contract-to-hire position based fully onsite in Lewisville, Texas.

Requirements

• Experience processing garnishments and other payroll deductions.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and basic federal and state payroll requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, Paycom, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll.
• Review employee hours, earnings, deductions, and payroll changes for accuracy.
• Set up and process wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions.
• Monitor garnishment payments and maintain supporting documentation.
• Process new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll adjustments.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions.
• Reconcile payroll reports and payroll-related general ledger accounts.
• Assist with payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and year-end payroll activities.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
• Support month-end close and additional payroll projects as needed.
