About The Position

AlediumHR has partnered with a nationally recognized healthcare organization to recruit an experienced Payroll Director. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing enterprise payroll operations supporting approximately 55,000 employees across multiple states. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Payroll, you will lead a team of payroll professionals while serving as the organization's payroll expert for Oracle Payroll. You'll work closely with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize payroll operations, improve processes, and ensure accurate, compliant payroll delivery across a complex healthcare enterprise. Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience within a large, complex organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Payroll or Oracle Payroll Cloud.
  • Proven experience supporting Oracle Payroll after implementation, including: Quarterly release testing, Payroll validation, Troubleshooting, Enhancement requests, Ongoing system optimization.
  • Experience serving as the Payroll business lead or subject matter expert working closely with HRIS and IT.
  • Multi-state payroll leadership experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading payroll operations and developing high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for enterprise payroll operations supporting approximately 55,000 employees nationwide.
  • Lead and develop a payroll organization consisting of two Payroll Managers and approximately 40 indirect team members.
  • Serve as the functional business owner for Oracle Payroll, partnering with HR, Finance, HRIS, and IT.
  • Lead Oracle Payroll post-go-live activities including quarterly release testing, payroll validation, troubleshooting, enhancement requests, and ongoing system optimization.
  • Drive payroll process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across multiple states and payroll cycles.
  • Support the continued expansion of in-house payroll operations while helping shape future payroll strategy.
