We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/Benefits Specialist to support employees through accurate benefits administration, enrollment support, compliance coordination, and day-to-day HR service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping employees understand their options, managing benefit programs with care, and ensuring records, reporting, and processes are handled accurately and confidentially.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain HR records and systems related to payroll, time and attendance, and employee benefit data to support accurate deductions, adjustments, and reporting.
  • Support onboarding by collecting and organizing required documentation and helping new hires understand benefit enrollment processes.
  • Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness offerings.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding plan options, enrollments, status changes, claims, and general benefit provisions with professionalism and care.
  • Assist with employee education, engagement, and training related to benefits and other HR topics.
  • Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks required to support benefit plans, audits, reporting, and HR initiatives.
  • Help manage compliance-related processes associated with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, workers' compensation, unemployment, and FMLA.
  • Assist with broader HR processes, including performance review coordination and employee support activities.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the organization and benefit providers, insurance partners, and related agencies.
  • Maintain confidential employee files and benefit documentation with a high level of accuracy, compliance, and discretion.
  • Contribute to additional HR and benefits-related projects as needed.
