About The Position

This role involves accurately collecting, reviewing, submitting, and processing payroll responsibilities in accordance with established schedules and policies. The position ensures employee time records, pay adjustments, and payroll changes are complete, approved, and submitted timely. It requires coordination with Human Resources, department managers, and leadership to resolve discrepancies, corrections, or employee payroll inquiries. The role also involves adhering to internal controls, audit requirements, and organization/federal policies related to payroll processing, and assisting with audits, investigations, and reporting related to payroll and compensation. Additionally, the auditor conducts audits and maintains records in accordance with National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) regulations, as well as other state and federal regulations, and casino/corporate policies and procedures. This includes preparing exception reports for non-compliance and auditing revenues from table games, restaurants, and slots, as well as vault/cage documents. Adherence to Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), System of Internal Controls (SICS), and Casino Policies and Procedures is mandatory. Other job-related duties may be assigned by a supervisor and/or manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Familiarity and experience with general office equipment, including but not limited to a 10-key calculator by touch, and computerized financial systems.
  • Minimum of intermediary level of Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from vendors, managers, and employees.
  • Ability to communicate information through spoken words and sentences that others will understand in a position manner.
  • Ability to complete assessments accurately and timely.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of audits performed.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy while working in spreadsheet, financial auditing, materials, and data management.
  • Ability to multitask in an organized manner with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals.
  • Must be licensable under the requirement of the Northern Arapaho Gaming Agency.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must have a valid Wyoming driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
