About The Position

The Payroll Department at The Walt Disney Company plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant compensation for Disney’s global workforce. The team is responsible for processing payroll across all divisions—including parks, studios, media networks, and corporate offices—serving tens of thousands of employees ranging from salaried professionals to unionized and seasonal staff. The department manages complex payroll systems, oversees tax and legal compliance across jurisdictions, and supports internal audits and reporting. Additionally, the team provides responsive customer service to employees and HR partners, resolves payroll-related issues, and leads initiatives to modernize and streamline payroll operations. Their work ensures that Disney’s diverse and dynamic workforce is paid accurately, on time, and in accordance with all applicable regulations and agreements. As a Payroll Analyst, you will join a collaborative and high-performing team that plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing across the Walt Disney Company. This team partners closely with Finance, Human Resources, and other departments to resolve payroll and deduction issues, help identify and develop recommendations for process improvements for payroll processes, and provide testing support as well as coordinate testing for enhancements in the payroll systems. You'll have the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of professionals, drive process improvements, and contribute to strategic initiatives that support enterprise-wide compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or at least 5 years of experience working on a payroll team for a large complex organization.
  • Minimum of 2 years in Payroll or Timekeeping roles, preferably in large, complex organizations
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of The Walt Disney Co. policies and procedures
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Experience with navigating/using SAP
  • Technical knowledge of SAP Time and Payroll modules

Nice To Haves

  • More than 2 years in Payroll or Timekeeping roles, preferably in large, complex organizations
  • Experience working with large payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, Oracle, Ceridian)
  • Ability to drive to collaborative solutions
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Payroll runs and related processes
  • Process off-cycle requests related to troubleshooting
  • Submit requests for system sustainment
  • Perform testing and validation of system changes
  • Makes routine and non-routine decisions for payroll processes, systems, and regulations
  • Research, analyze, and resolve basic to moderately complex payroll discrepancies and errors in a timely and accurate manner
  • Drive improvements and updates to SAP Time and Pay systems
  • Assess opportunities and implement process improvements/automation for the payroll organization and/or Walt Disney Company
