The Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently for a large, multi-state workforce. This role manages payroll transactions, employee data maintenance, payroll reconciliations, and payroll-related inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The Payroll Analyst serves as a key liaison between Operations, Human Resources, and Finance to support timely payroll processing and an exceptional employee experience.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of payroll, accounting, finance, or related experience
  • Experience processing payroll and maintaining confidential employee information preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of payroll systems, payroll compliance, and reporting preferred
  • Payroll processing and reconciliation
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Communication and cross-functional collaboration
  • Organization, confidentiality, and time management

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll from end to end, including timecard validation, employee data maintenance, payroll calculations, deductions, direct deposits, and paycheck distribution
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, address changes, and direct deposit updates
  • Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support government requests such as wage verifications and garnishment orders
  • Develop and deliver payroll-related training, resources, and process documentation to support employee understanding and compliance
