About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Payroll Analyst is to assist the Payroll Manager in processing bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls by entering and auditing data, reviewing and recording benefit deductions, wage garnishments, and allowances, researching and reconciling discrepancies, and performing other payroll-related tasks. The Payroll Analyst will assist in the preparation and reconciliation of contribution files for remittance to third-party companies and be the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding payroll-related questions or issues. Additional responsibilities include helping administer the 401(k) plan, including communication with plan participants, processing enrollments, changes, and terminations, and supporting annual compliance processes such as year-end closing, non-discrimination testing, audit support, and required filings, including Form 5500. As part of the Payroll and Benefits team, the Payroll Analyst will provide benefits support as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll related experience.
  • HRIS familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (Payroll) & Workday (HCM).
  • Comprehensive understanding of compensation elements.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.
  • Exceptional time management, communication, decision-making, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, mathematical, statistical, written communication, presentation, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and communicate the company's payroll terms and conditions and ensure acknowledgement of plans and targets.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws governing payroll practices.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and maintain HRIS records, ensuring data integrity and administration of employee self-service.
  • Ensure continuity and successful delivery of functional HRIS services to vendors.
  • Make alterations to existing programs to gather and report global data as necessary. Reports may include global headcount, turnover, and Human Resources metrics reporting.
  • Possess strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with a track record of planning, auditing, and execution.
  • Provide oversight on payroll and partner with the business to develop creative solutions on a variety of payroll issues.
  • Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and fully support the ISO system.
  • Comply with company health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
