About The Position

The position is responsible to accurately maintain and monitor TriMark’s time and attendance software system and files to transmit data for the correct processing of payroll for employees of TriMark Corporate, TriMark Minnesota, TriMark Quincy and remote employees. The position is responsible for TriMark Corporation’s door access security system which includes pass card entry. This position requires a high-level working knowledge of human resource information systems (HRIS). The ability to understand and adjust background settings, develop reporting, partner with Dayforce personnel to understand and grow HRIS capabilities to continuously improve current process and utilize automation when possible.

  • A requirement of this position is the ability to interact with individuals throughout the company, as well as external associates. Therefore, this Payroll Administrator must possess excellent communication skills, including both written and oral. The incumbent must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to promote good working relationships among supervisors, employees, and peers.
  • It is critical that this Payroll Administrator possesses a high degree of confidentiality by virtue of the sensitive information that is disclosed to the incumbent. Due to the nature of the work, accuracy and attention to detail is critical in this position. The incumbent must be HR information system (HRIS) proficient, possess superb organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and/or duties to remain as efficient as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Inform individual employees and supervisors requesting advice related to payroll and HR policy.
  • Ensure timely preparation of reports and summaries relating to employee activities to ensure the availability of this information for company operations and management planning.
  • Performs payroll database administrator duties and is the primary contact between outside payroll provider and TriMark to ensure accurate payroll information is transmitted to the payroll provider and to maintain the integrity of the payroll software.
  • Compiles and enters into payroll system time and attendance data for payroll processing, including but not limited to holidays and salary continuation, as well as change documents such as, promotions, work schedule changes, department changes, etc.; commits data and interacts with payroll provider to ensure that TriMark’s employees are paid correctly.
  • Go to the person for Dayforce needs. Maintains a high level of connection to Dayforce training and support.
  • Onboards new supervisors and employees to ensure they are comfortable with Dayforce and the payroll process.
  • Accommodates government agencies when requesting garnishments for TriMark’s employees and processes requests to ensure that requirements are met.
  • Is responsible for and maintains TriMark’s door access security system for TriMark New Hampton locations and makes changes as needed to allow employees access to the buildings when required by their supervisors; this includes adding and deleting employees and visitors.
  • Maintains TriMark’s attendance system in Dayforce and tracks time off forms for all hourly personnel, alerting supervisors, and employees when there is a compliance issue.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned payroll processes. Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.
  • Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision, and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.
  • Supports process improvement and other HR projects.
  • Serves as a back-up to the Benefits Administrator and supports HR-related administrative work as needed.
