The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our diverse group of Accounting and Payroll professionals. As part of our award-winning Finance team, the Payroll Administrator must value accuracy above all else. Under general supervision, this role performs a variety of advanced technical accounting support duties involved in the processing of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority’s (RTAA) payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment of employees on a biweekly basis; and performs other related duties as assigned. If you are the right candidate for this role, you are meticulous and have an uncanny ability to read and correctly interpret complex contracts to determine the rules for paying those who are covered on one of 4 (four) different collective bargaining agreements. You are comfortable navigating a complex payroll system (Tyler/Munis) and making sure you’ve got it right before you hit enter. You are patient and willing to teach employees and managers about the correct way to enter time or to understand how complex rules are applied in various circumstances. You appreciate a challenge, are eager to learn new things, and have a deep desire to make a substantial contribution to your workplace. You are also willing and able to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external customers, and you look forward to employing equal measures of customer service and attention to detail.
