About The Position

We’re hiring an Entry-Level Project Payroll Administrator to support payroll and project financial tracking for active construction projects in the Bay Area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting or payroll career who wants hands-on experience, exposure to large-scale projects, and a clear path to a permanent role. You’ll work closely with project teams, field employees, and operations staff to ensure accurate payroll processing and organized project financials. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related coursework/experience
  • 0–2 years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience (construction a plus, not required)
  • Comfortable working with Excel and Microsoft Office (training provided for advanced functions)
  • Willingness to learn payroll and timekeeping systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Professional communication skills and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities

  • Track labor hours, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Submit and verify daily and weekly time entries for payroll processing
  • Coordinate payroll hours to ensure accurate and timely paychecks
  • Enter project data into customer and internal systems (e.g., TRACK, SAP, CCM)
  • Assist with invoice preparation using labor, material, and equipment data
  • Maintain and update Excel-based tracking and reporting tools
  • Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with cost tracking and reports
  • Help prepare cost, forecast, and project status reports
