About The Position

We are recruiting for a collaborative Payroll & Accounting Specialist for a well-established and growing organization in the Roseville area. The Payroll & Accounting Specialist is responsible for processing payroll, benefits reconciliation, supporting accounts payable and cash management. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience processing payroll and supporting accounting functions in a fast-paced environment. Direct Hire Pay: $38-$42/hour DOE 100% onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting/payroll role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger activity
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively with employees at all levels
  • Proficiency with payroll and accounting software
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Manage benefit enrollment reconciliation and deductions
  • Review and process garnishments
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries
  • Process corporate accounts payable
  • Prepare journal entries related to payroll, benefits, and accruals
  • Reconcile corporate billing accounts
  • Compile documentation for corporate and project audits
  • Participate in weekly accounting meetings
  • Communicate status updates, deadlines, and issues proactively
  • Monitor cash balances and update internal reporting
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
