Within Aeroflow, the Payer Relations/Managed Care team partners closely with health plans across Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, IPA, and TPA markets to expand access to covered services and strengthen payer relationships nationwide. The team supports Aeroflow’s DME and professional service offerings, including Lactation Consultants, Registered Dietitians, and Doulas, working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to ensure alignment with payer expectations. This role is ideal for someone early in their career or transitioning into healthcare who is eager to learn, take ownership, and grow within payer relations.

  • Early-career healthcare professional: 1–2 years of experience in payer relations, healthcare operations, provider relations, or a related field
  • Recent graduate with interest in healthcare: Strong interest in healthcare, payer relations, or managed care, with a desire to build a career in this space
  • Transferable experience with strong upside: Background in account management, operations, analytics, customer support, sales/marketing, or project coordination, with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and operate effectively in multi-faceted roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working with systems, tools, and data
  • Ability to present information clearly to internal stakeholders
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset
  • Willingness to travel at least quarterly
  • Basic to moderate exposure to negotiation, presenting, and/or policy or operational change initiatives preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain relationships with payer partners while identifying opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align strategies with payer expectations and business objectives
  • Assist in addressing claims issues, policy updates, and service improvements
  • Act as a liaison between payer partners and internal teams
  • Support payer contracting efforts and network expansion initiatives
  • Maintain fee schedules and ensure alignment with reimbursement requirements
  • Review payer policy updates and translate them into actionable insights for internal teams
  • Manage workflows through payer portals and internal systems
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory standards
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Support reporting efforts and contribute to operational insights
  • Assist in building processes that improve team efficiency and performance
