About The Position

The Payment Processing Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate sorting and processing of client checks, ensuring they are deposited according to specific rules. This position demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a customer focused mindset.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly, Wear PPE and following all safety procedures. (Report any safety hazards to supervisor.)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior payment processing, banking or admin support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the team is sorting incoming checks into appropriate deposit piles based on established client rules
  • Ensures the team accurately processes and deposit checks on behalf of clients within set deadlines.
  • Tracks all processed transactions and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Ensure all client-related transactions are accurately logged and filed.
  • Regularly review and verify records to ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth payment processing operations.
  • Share feedback and suggest process improvements when necessary.
