About The Position

We are seeking a Payment Processing Analyst / Manager to execute high-volume disbursement processing for our claims administration business. This role is responsible for executing and supervising day-to-day payment operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments, and serving as a key point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and experienced in managing complex payment workflows.

  • High comfort level with technology, including financial systems and banking platforms
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in payment processing, treasury operations, claims administration, or financial operations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end payment processing for claims distributions, including high volumes of checks, ACH, and wire payments using a combination of in- house systems and multiple banking platforms.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and secure execution of all disbursements.
  • Supervise others responsible for payment processing.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Resolve positive pay exceptions, rejected payments, and client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with clients regarding payment status, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare reports using advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) as well as using in-house reporting software.
  • Partner with internal teams (claims, IT etc.) to support seamless operations.
  • Enforce internal controls, approval workflows, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Monitor operational efficiency; recommend process improvements
