About The Position

Kirby Medical Center is expanding its billing department and is looking for a detailed-oriented individual to compile itemized hospital bills, verify patient insurance coverage, and go over their benefits. This position will work closely with Admitting, Medical Records, and KMG. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The hourly rate is between $16.38 and $20.48, dependent on experience. There are no holiday or on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent patient interaction
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Health Insurance knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

• Post payments and make deposit
• Working with Accounting to resolve issues
• Assists with cost reporting
• Work with Vendors for EFT's
• Answer phone calls professionally and be able to direct to correct personnel
• Be Flexible, organize and function well in stressful situations
• Interact professionally with patients and their families
