About The Position

As a Payment Exceptions Analyst, you will be investigating and resolving financial discrepancies and anomalies within Settlement Controls & Solutions’ financial systems for a variety of exceptions, including credit, debit, biller, and any emerging payments. You will ensure the integrity of financial data by analyzing exceptions reporting, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions, and pursuing process and technology improvements. You will leverage analytical skills and due diligence to preserve funds for the business and our customers by ensuring corrections are made to accounts timely and accurately to promote a positive client experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in Payment Exceptions/Suspense, Reconciliation, Banking, and/or similar discipline
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Experience in Excel
  • 3+ years of an equivalent combination of education, work and/or military experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience with data entry, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, or other business process automation tools

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve payment exceptions during the payment processing cycle and in compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Analyze payment discrepancies and reconcile financial data across various systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate payment discrepancies to inform internal and external stakeholders including issuer remediation and escalation to management.
  • Support and monitor existing automations, working directly with project analysts on issue resolution, enhancements, and testing
  • Partnering with subject matter experts to support issue remediation and escalate concerns when needed
  • Working with internal teams and external network representatives to resolve operational issues
  • Supporting internal and external association or network releases impacting daily work
