About The Position

GeoControl Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payload Integration Manager for the International Space Station. This role involves managing internal and external payloads, ensuring HUBZone residency is maintained, and participating in various reviews and anomaly resolutions. The position requires a mature candidate with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of meeting deadlines and interfacing with diverse teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience performing Payload Integration, preferably for the International Space Station.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Good leadership and teamwork characteristics.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a Boeing badge and NASA Badge
  • Reside in a HUBZone or willing to relocate to a HUBZone

Responsibilities

  • Initialize and maintain monthly Payload Integration Manager (PIM) schedules and stop light status charts for various payload facilities and types (e.g., rack facilities, sub-rack payloads, attached payloads, ELC payloads, JEM and Columbus Exposed Facilities, IP payloads) using NASA resources and the Integrated Payload List (IPL).
  • Develop unique Payload Integration Agreement (PIA) letters for assigned payloads.
  • Maintain the Standard PIA for ISS Payloads (SSP 57061).
  • Assist payload developers in processing exceptions related to program and integration requirements.
  • Assist payload developers in providing payload data sets.
  • Participate in anomaly resolution during real-time operations when on-orbit anomalies occur.
  • Assist payload developers by participating in major payload reviews such as Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR), Ground Operations Reviews, Flight and Ground Safety Reviews, and System Acceptance Reviews (SAR).
  • Participate in major ISS program reviews including internal NASA OZ CoFR reviews, Hardware Verification Review (HVR), and Bench Packing Reviews.
  • Report open items/risks at various program reviews, without representing the payload developer.
  • Provide technical expertise to Research Integration Office boards and panels, ISS boards and panels, and working groups.
  • Manage cold stowage assets for the ISS.
  • Perform assessments of payload cold stowage requirements.
  • Develop cold stowage traffic models.
  • Coordinate across the ISS program to ensure capability exists for ascent, on-orbit, and descent phases for cold stowage.
  • Integrate payload cold stowage requirements through the Cold Stowage Management Team (CSMT).
  • Maintain configuration management of cold stowage forms submitted by payload developers.
