About The Position

The general purpose of this position is to bag, scale, and grade chicken paws as they come down the conveyor belt. This role involves visually inspecting and grading paws for defects, discarding unsalvageable paws, and bagging and weighing product. The position also requires participation as a member of a team, fostering cohesiveness, and understanding Simmons' operating systems principles. The job description is intended to guide activities but not limit creativity or scope of work.

Requirements

• Be able to read and understand a scale.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and grade paws for mangling, discoloration, and excess skin/nails.
• Discard paws not graded out and place unsalvageable paws in the condemn barrel.
• Bag and weigh 40-50 pounds of paws and lift to box.
• Participate as a member of the Team, fostering cohesiveness and supporting team initiatives.
• Understand and support Simmons' operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies).
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
