About The Position

Braswell & Son, a family-owned business since 1979 with eight stores across Arkansas and Tennessee, is seeking a Pawnbroker/Sales Associate. Prior pawn or jewelry experience is not required; the company will provide training for individuals who enjoy working with people and are reliable. This role involves customer interaction, assessing merchandise value, writing pawn loans, selling merchandise, and maintaining store operations.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to stand and move for most of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Comfortable learning a computer and point-of-sale system.
Available for retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
Honest and reliable.
Enjoys talking to strangers.
Willing to learn new things.

Nice To Haves

Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly.
Understand customer needs by asking questions and listening.
Assess the value of merchandise such as gold, diamonds, watches, designer bags, tools, and electronics.
Write pawn loans and clearly explain the terms.
Sell merchandise to customers.
Maintain the store, money, and merchandise.
Assist customers with various needs, from selecting engagement rings to covering car repairs.
